「偶偶 GUUGUU」は、「偶然なにかに出会える」ような場を目指して、2023年夏からスタートした場所です。

これと言って目的はないけれど、とりあえずここに来たら偶然、楽しいことや面白い人や機会に出会える、そんな目的なく顔を出せる場所が街の中に１つくらいあってもいいなと思って始めました。

「偶偶」の訓読みは「たまたま」で、思いがけなく、偶然に、という意味です。

「偶偶」の音読みは「グウグウ」で、力が抜けた響きがいいなと思って、ここでの読み方は「偶偶＝GUUGUU」にしました。

何か面白いことを始めるときは、タイミングと人がたまたま重なって、自分の「楽しい！」のままに行動できたときのような気がしますが、あなたの「楽しい！」を表現する場が「偶偶GUUGUU」であってほしいなと思っています。

あなたの「こんなことしたい！」を「偶偶」でお待ちしております。



“GUUGUU” is a space that launched in the summer of 2023 with the aim of creating a place where people can “stumble upon something by chance.”

I started this because I thought it would be nice to have at least one place in the city where people could just drop by without any particular purpose—a place where, even if you don’t have a specific goal in mind, you might just happen to encounter something fun, meet interesting people, or stumble upon a great opportunity.

The kun’yomi reading of “偶偶” is “tamama,” which means ‘unexpectedly’ or “by chance.”

The on’yomi reading of “偶偶” is “guu guu” and I liked the relaxed sound of it, so I decided to use “偶偶 = GUUGUU” here.

I feel that when you start something fun, it’s often when timing and people just happen to align, allowing you to act on your own sense of “This is fun!”—and I hope “Guuguu” can be a place where you can express your own “This is fun!”
