公園の中に出現させた2日間限定のイタリアンレストランの計画。

事務所近くの籠田公園にある屋外ステージは、四方に開かれていて、かつ、大屋根で直射日光が穏やかに遮られているので、屋外なのに屋内のような安心感もあり心地よい。

そのステージを眺めがら、ふと「ここでワインと一緒にイタリアンのフルコースが楽しめたらいいな」と思い、知り合いのイタリアンレストランのオーナーにこの妄想を話したら面白がってくれたのがきっかけで実現したプロジェクト。

臨時営業許可を取得するための厨房（＝木のボックス）を設置し、大きなテーブルは天板のみ持ち込み、あとのテーブル脚と椅子は籠田公園に常設されているもの使用することで公園の日常の延長にこのレストランを位置付けたいと考えた。また、額縁と大きな木枠を吊ることで四方に開かれた状態を保ちつつ緩やかに仕切ることでレストランとしての空間のまとまりを作ろうと考えた。

風に揺れる木々を眺めながら、日差しに照らされる青々とした芝生の上で遊ぶ子供たちの声を聞きながら、シェフが調理する姿を眺めながら、そよ風を肌で感じながら、大きなテーブルをみんなで囲って午後のひと時を楽しむ。

こんな光景がこの街の日常になってほしいなと密かに思っている。

　

A plan for a two-day Italian restaurant that appeared in a park.
The outdoor stage in Kagota Park near our office is open on all sides and has a large roof that gently blocks direct sunlight, making it as comfortable and reassuring as if it were indoors, even though it is outdoors.
Looking at the stage, I suddenly thought, “It would be great if I could enjoy a full-course Italian meal with wine here,” and when I mentioned this fantasy to an Italian restaurant owner I knew, he was amused, which led to the realization of this project.
The restaurant was to be positioned as an extension of the park’s daily life by setting up a kitchen (i.e., a wooden box) to obtain a temporary business permit, bringing in only the tops for the large tables, and using the table legs and chairs that are permanently installed in Kagota Park for the rest of the tables. In addition, by hanging picture frames and large wooden frames, we wanted to create a cohesive space as a restaurant by gently dividing the space while keeping it open on all four sides.
The restaurant is a place where people can enjoy an afternoon together around a large table, watching the trees swaying in the wind, listening to the sound of children playing on the lush green lawn in the sunlight, watching the chef cooking, and feeling the gentle breeze on their skin.
I secretly hope that this kind of scene will become an everyday occurrence in this town.
