未来のまちの姿を仮想的につくり出す社会実験「MeguruQuruwa」（2017年）の一環で、図書館交流プラザ「りぶら」内に、本との新しい出会い方を提供する中に入れる本棚を計画した。

本はオススメのページを開いて本棚に被せるように置かれる。平置きの場合は表紙（かろうじて背表紙）が本と出会う入り口になるが、「本のかまくら」では、本棚の外からは表紙・背表紙・裏表紙、本棚の中からはオススメのページがその本に興味を持つきっかけとなる。



As part of “MeguruQuruwa” (2017), a social experiment that virtually creates visions of future cities, we designed a walk-in bookshelf within the “Libra” Library Exchange Plaza to offer a new way of encountering books.

Books are placed on the shelves with their recommended pages facing outward, as if draped over the shelf. While with books placed flat, the cover (or, at best, the spine) serves as the entry point to the book, in the “Book Igloo,” the cover, spine, and back cover are visible from outside the shelf, and the recommended page is visible from inside—both serving as triggers to spark interest in the book.
